Barnsley BSF involves a £300m investment into all the authority’s secondary school estate, together with 2 further special schools. Watson Batty Architects are working together with 4 other architects to design brand new state of the art Advanced Learning Centres. Our sample scheme, The Dearne makes provision for a new multi million pound, 1200 place ALC on the urban fringe of Goldthorpe. The transformational design will allow for the delivery of the modern personalised learning curriculum, with the ability to flex and adapt the learning environment for many years to come.
