Housing some 1,760 mixed students undertaking a comprehensive education, the accommodation was becoming something of a premium. By changing the use of existing areas additional space was unlocked. A new reception entrance for the student support services was created which will also become the entrance for the external hire of services. New covered walkways were created around the quad, seven new classrooms for core subjects now form the central spine of the school and its new heart is the magnificent hall.
