Education Leeds PFI.
Following an intensive selection criteria, Watson Batty were selected as architects for Education Leeds Private Finance initiative, a £36 million programme to improve educational buildings. The contract included the design for a mix of new-build and refurbishment of 10 primary schools across the city. Many of the original buildings were beyond the point of repair. Rawdon Littlemoor was the first of the schools to be completed and was moved to a completely new site to take maximum advantage of the designs for improving conditions for pupils and staff.
