The £41m centre provides a central hub for national mail distribution, serving main mail centres throughout the UK. Constructed with large, column free spaces incorporating lattice truss structural beams, providing flexible internal areas for current and future requirements. With a 240,000 sqft end to end standing seam roof, a 225 metre long, 100,000 sqft cross docking building containing 90 loading docks, a 3 storey, 45,000 sqft office facility and a further 20 loading docks in a high bay processing building, the project is one of the largest of its kind in the UK.
