The Grove Theatre
Apperley Bridge.
A glazed feature tower reflects the architectural style of the Grade 1 folly sited in the grounds of the theatre. The use of faceted glazing allows internal lighting to act as a beacon at night, creating a strong presence for the building. The theatre has a capacity of 300 in conference mode and the retractable ‘Bleacher’ seating system can reduce seating capacity as required providing performances in the round as required. A fully diverse sound system fully computerised recordable lighting desk and 6 counter weight flying systems for curtaining and scenery were incorporated into the building.
