Selby PFI.
The Flaxley Road scheme is part of the Selby Housing PFI, which was set up by Selby district council to overcome the shortfall in affordable rented housing stock in the area. The intention is to create 250 new homes over a 5 year period. The brief for the Flaxley Road site required 56 units consisting of 2 bed bungalows, 2 bed houses and 2 bed apartments all to be arranged to encourage a sense of community while establishing a feeling of safety, particularly for elderly residents.
