In response to local demand for family accommodation, this new build housing scheme of 29 new build two, three and four bedroom houses together with one and two bedroom flats, replaces five unpopular medium rise blocks. Located on the fringe of a conservation area, the new dwellings were designed to respond to their locality through the choice of materials and the use of short terraces. Traditional construction using a reconstituted stone and block cavity wall, successfully blended the new buildings into their environment.
