Todmorden.
Two housing schemes have recently been completed in Todmorden as part of Watson Batty’s ongoing partnership with Pennine Housing 2000. Both projects provide a mix of 2 and 3 bed family homes and 2 bed apartments around a courtyard setting.
At Longfield Close we ensured that the steeply sloping environment didn’t result in impractical gardens for householders by designing split-level homes which appear as single storey at the front with a two storey elevation to the rear. Scott Street’s location on a flood plain was taken into account by raising internal floor levels above the external ground level while still providing some homes specifically for wheelchair users.
