Watson Batty Architects Ltd is an award-winning UK-based multidisciplinary practice established in 1976.

Over the years we have been expanding our original services to provide cutting edge architecture, interior design, sustainability, CDM and health & safety services to a wide range of clients in all sectors.

We provide an exceptional service, adding value to every project by taking the time to understand our clients. We meet their specific needs by combining the highest levels of design with technical expertise and the ability to undertake projects to time and budget.

Since 2010 we have been actively seeking opportunities to expand our specialist services into the Middle East:

• Middle East: In June 2010 we completed RIBA Stages A to C for a model production studio
• North Iraq: In January 2011 we secured our position in the short list for a major development in North Iraq. Project ongoing.
• Qatar: In March 2011 we successfully confirmed collaboration with a major multidisciplinary design group in Qatar. A series of meetings are scheduled in Qatar for Summer 2011.

This activity is led by our Regional Director, Rima Yousif, a fluent Arabic speaker with a full understanding of Middle Eastern culture.

Rima joined Watson Batty in August 2009 to jointly lead our Loughborough office in the UK Midlands.

Professionally Chartered with the RIBA and with a BSc in Architectural Engineering, she has strong engineering design skills that give her an edge when creating technical solutions to challenging problems on small or £multimillion schemes. Working as a senior project architect, she has extensive experience of all stages of major sports and leisure developments, working closely with leading clients from the public and private sectors on projects all over the UK.
