On a winner with William Hill.
Leading betting shop chain William Hill has appointed Watson Batty architects as part of a five-year programme to modernise 20 of the company’s premises in the northern half of the country.
As part of the extensive refurbishment plan, Watson Batty will re-design the existing facilities to adhere to the new requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). In light of recent changes in planning laws the interiors of betting shops are no longer required to be concealed from public view, therefore a large part of the work undertaken by the team will involve creating new open frontages.
A number of premises throughout the North West and East Yorkshire are already underway, with additional schemes planned along the M62 corridor and Scotland.
