The Tetley's Regal Stadium, Sunderland. Refurbishment of Bunnies Bar.

Watson Batty has undertaken the refurbishment of Bunnies bar at the Regal Greyhound Stadium transforming an existing '80s bar into a contemporary facility.

The project value was £400,000 partly funded by the stadium with grants from the British Greyhound Racing Fund.

The contractor was GK Raw of Harrogate. The area of the works was 550m2 consisted the refurbishment of the seating area with new finishes & the replacement of loose furniture with fixed booth units as well as providing standing areas around posing tables which offered beneficial circulation to tote & bar areas both of which along with the food bar & toilets were included in the works.

The bar was air conditioned & the track side windows double glazed to offer an improved atmosphere to the bar.

All works were completed within the 7 week contract period on 22nd February in time for the Race meeting on that evening which to the relief of all concerned was a success.
