Services - Sustainability Code for Sustainable Homes Assessment
We have found that the Code for Sustainable Homes is not purely about the energy rating of dwellings; the 'Code' embodies so much more about how a dwelling will function, how it will affect the environment in which it is located, how the occupant will use the dwelling and how it will ultimately benefit the health and well-being of the occupant.

As part of the design process our qualified in-house Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor regularly reviews projects and works alongside clients to help with every stage of the project.

To meet 'Zero Carbon' targets set by the Code the use of Low or Zero Carbon (LZC) technologies will usually be needed. A 'Decision Analysis' will be undertaken to determine the most appropriate technology for use within the development.

We are committed to delivering a holistic design approach through close collaboration with our client, contractor and the design team.

Our technical team and in-house Code Assessor are currently developing the use of the 'Passivhaus' system on Code Level 6 'Zero Carbon' schemes. The challenges set to achieve Code Level 6 'Zero Carbon' in real terms has led to a new emphasis on detailing and specification of the buildings we design.
