We are committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in our designs of new and existing buildings in all sectors.

We minimise carbon use and the overall environmental impact of our buildings in a cost effective manner by:

• maximising passive solar design
• using natural ventilation
• specifying traditional, local materials where appropriate
• promoting high thermal efficiency.

We have experience and knowledge of the latest developments in renewable technology and are currently working on projects that include zero carbon technologies such as photovoltaic arrays, solar water heating, wind turbines and geo-thermal systems, the latter being used in our Green Apple Award-winning offices. We were one of the first local companies to use a geo-thermal heating and cooling system, which penetrates 100 metres into the ground to utilise the constant temperature at this level. Other technologies implemented in our office design include rainwater harvesting, passive solar design and a high performance structure.
